When coming to Hokudai from out of town, first come to Sapporo city and then continue on to campus, which is located in the city center.

Japanese maps and directions by Hokudai are best used in combination with Jorudan's transportation planning site where you can find schedules and fares of flights and trains. The Jorudan site has a Japanese language interface with limited English capability.

For general info, view the official websites for tourism in Japan, Hokkaido, and Sapporo.

Hokudai campus runs roughly north to south. My classrooms and offices are on the northern side of campus, spread over the information technology education building, the liberal arts education building's E wing, and the media building.

classrooms

Hokudai has 4 CALL (computer-aided language learning) classrooms: IMC-110, IMC-210, ITE-CALL, and E-309. I designed the layout of CALL classroom E-309. It has an open space in the center for group interaction.
Hokudai has 5 active learning classrooms in S building. My design input was partially reflected in, and mostly rejected in, S-5.
During spring semester, I teach in all 4 CALL classrooms. During fall semester, I teach in E-309 and S-5.

Visitors are welcome at any time. My students, teaching assistants, conversation partners, guest talkers, and I are eager to have you join us. You may drop in unannounced to observe or to participate under my direction. Should you wish to co-teach, prior coordination would be appreciated.

During non-class hours, I am usually in my office S-304, located on the 3rd floor of the Center for Language Learning staff office building.

Sometimes, especially immediately before or after English Online courses during spring semester, I am with my colleagues in the CALL staff rooms S-314 and S-316, also located on the 3rd floor of the Center for Language Learning staff office building.
